After trying all your suggestions and those from various forum threads relating to Windows 10 and SMB access, I decided to try restarting Windows in safe mode with networking, but then found I had no network access at all, even though the network adaptor was enabled and everything seemed to be correctly configured in safe mode. Still the same undefined error message on \\\ access in Explorer? Yes. Schumaku wrote:Try to disable and enable the CIFS/SMB 1.09 Windows extension. So I'm desperate - can anyone please help? Other than re-installing Windows 10 from scratch, I'm out of ideas. As far as I can see, everything is correctly set up in Network Services control panel for Microsoft Networking, the workgroup name matches that of my PC and I have Samba 1.0 installed as a Windows feature, so I can't think of anything else that needs to be configured. Looking at the system connection logs on the NAS, I can see the AFS and SAMBA connections from my Macbook and the Win7 VM respectively so it would seem that SAMBA is working okay on the NAS (the highest SMB version is set to 3.0 in the Microsoft Networking/Advanced options). I've disabled my PC's antivirus but that makes no difference. I've this forum post and tried everything suggested in that, but to no avail. I've tried setting the registry entry that allows insecure guest access to SMB shares, that hasn't worked. I'm able to access the NAS shares from my MacBook and from a Windows 7 virtual machine running under VMWare on my PC, but from Windows 10 on my PC I can't see my NAs or it's shares. The NAS is assigned a static IP address from my router's DHCP server.
My TS453 Pro has the latest firmware and QFinder can see the device and I'm able to log into the web interface to change setting etc.
